10'000km to help leprosy sufferers
Across deserts, mountains and jungles. Bike for Help managed to raise more than half a million dollars and helped thousands of leprosy sufferers around the globe.

On the first of January 2002, 25 year old Christoph von Toggenburg started off to a unique adventure: Starting fom New Delhi, he cycled alone to Switzerland in order to collect donations and raise awareness for leprosy-sufferers. Within five months he covered nearly 10'000 km, passing through 7 countries, including 4000kms of desert, sand-storms, and unbearable heat and cold. He saw some of the most beautiful landscapes as well as terrible misery. He faced mortal fears and moments of unlimited hapiness. For him, it was one of the greatest adventures: to show that one single person can stand up and help.
